- AHAs (Lactic 2% & Glycolic 1%): Exfoliates skin surface to smooth and even skin tone and texture for more luminous skin.
AHAs are a group of organic acids that work to exfoliate the uppermost layers of the skin. AHAs are essentially for smooth, even-toned, hydrated skin.
- BHA (Salicylic Acid 1.5%): Unclogs pores to reduce congestion and breakouts.
BHAs work on the uppermost skin layers like AHAs. But they also work inside the pore by helping to shed skin and regulate sebum within the pore. This helps to decongest pores and reduce the appearance of blackheads over time.
- Azelaic Acid (4%): Calms redness and inflammation, reduces pigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase (an enzyme that controls the production of melanin).
Azelaic Acid is an enzyme commonly derived from grains. It is well-known for reducing redness and irritated bumps as well as reducing pigmentation as a tyrosinase inhibitor and powerful antioxidant.
